White Sulphur Springs, Montana
July 26 – 28, 2013
Oh, and did I mention the beards? Not only beards, but a beard contest.
Here’s the winner:
The runner-up was a definite crowd favorite. He was doing pretty well with his shirt on, but once the shirt came off….well, see for yourself:
Wow.
For what I see on the last picture, Bigfoot has been found! 🙂
I said exactly that!
Ha. Looks like a good time, with some laughs along the way. I trust the music was enjoyable.
Oh, the music was amazing – Robert Earl Keen and Joy Kills Sorrow were particularly great.
With those few words setting the scene the photos tell it all: this morning my favourite (but my favourites usually change) is the one with the kid with the DO NOT ENTER tape.
Thanks for sharing!
She was so happy dragging that tape all over the campground! Made us all laugh that morning as well.
I can imagine, but your shot captures a moment in time so well: good eyes!
OK, cute, cute kid in the overalls dragging the tape. The hairy backed guy, not so much. I do love the name of the festival. Red ants. Great photo essay.
Red Ants Pants are great work pants for women. The woman who started the company (in the little town of White Sulphur) is one heck of a go-getter.
My favorite photo is the one of the three guys with mustaches. Were Merle and Robert Earl really there?
They’re all pretty good looking, aren’t they? And yes, Merle Haggard and Robert Earl Keene both. Last year was Emmylou Harris and Hayes Carll, and Lyle Lovett the year before that. Can’t wait to see who they’ll get next year!
LOL, what a fun post!
🙂
Great shots, they really tell the story of the event.
I’m glad – thanks.
Haha that’s how to stay warm during Montana winters!
